Every bedside table features a drawer that opens with a chrome-plated metal handle, and a small square storage compartment. Macassar ebony is a wood of alternating black and cream colors. It was widely used in the Art Deco period for decoration and the manufacture of high-end furniture. This type of wood is mainly produced in Indonesia and takes its name from the town of Makassar.
