Pair of carved molded walnut sheath saddles decorated with fruit and foliage. The capitals have palmette friezes. They are in the Henri II style, highly inspired by the furniture and decorative forms of the second half of the 16th century. The Henri II or neo-Renaissance style developed in France from the reign of Louis-Philippe.
The 28 cm / 28 cm square top can accommodate large sculptures or decorative objects.
